moldy strings

Steve;

        The only time I have encountered this situation was a piano the came
from an oil and gas producing area. I suspect that the mold was caused by
the sulphur in the air from the production of gas. This is no longer a
problem as the gas producers remove the sulphur before the gas is marketed.

        By the way does anyone know the adress of the Walker Co., the people
who make the Sheffield tuning forks?
