mail-list message load

Happy holidays to all,
      If the message load is too much to bear, consider going into DIGEST mode.
You get a single mailing every day or so with all the traffic since the previous
digest posting.  There are 2 downsides.  The 1st downside (at least for
Compupay) is to respond privately to an individual message, you have to record
the name and address and use create mail (not respond) for your response. The
2nd downside is that there can be as much as a 24 hr lag (sometimes more)
between a message being sent and you seeing it.
      To set digest mode, send a message to listserv@byu.edu with no subject
line.  In the body of the letter type the single line "SET PIANOTECH MAIL
DIGEST' (quotes mine) and nothing else (no signature, byline or anything else,
mailbots tend to get confused REAL easy).
