spring rail

A couple of years ago Dennis Kirk was showing an adjustable vertical hammer
spring rail which could increase or decrease spring tension on the butts to
modify touch weight.

Does anyone have any experience with this device?

I just received six hammer spring rails from Pratt Win for some Sohmer 45Ss
where the springs are dropping like flys.  Easier to install a new spring
rail than respirng.  At $12.50 each it is also far less expensive.  If I have
problems with these rails I will let you know but it looks like a straight
forward installation.

Please respond to the Kirk issue.  Now would be the time to try one.
