Hi Keith, Actually it caught on more than many realize. Often you will find that the direction of the side bearing reverses between the treble bridge and that on the bass bridge. You are right about the Knight pianos. They were very well made . If you wish to know more about them or Alfred (Alfie) Knight, you might try calling or writing to Fred Odenheimer RPT in Van Nuys Ca.
