I wouldn't use any solutions on Renner Blues. They are very easy to work
with and stable if you don't use solutions. Solutions defeat the reasoning
behind the Blues.

I've installed quite a few sets and had excellant results everytime. They
are a full tonal hammer that can easily be reduced in weight and still have a
fine sound.

If you want the tone brighter: take a layer of felt off. Once you've done a
few sets, you can do this accurately before you put them on the shank.

If you want it warmer: use the chop stick voicing tool.

Best advice: follow the directions that come with the set.
