The only piano I've seen of this description was one that a hobbyist had
assembled from a big pile of junk pianos in a dump. The case, keys and
action all came from different pianos, and as there weren't enough strings
left he'd made two strings per note instead of three, and had salvaged a
bunch of bass strings and made them fit.

I wish now I'd been able to photograph it... It would have made a great
article for the Journal as to what lengths people will go to just to own a
piano!
