<< It is difficult to believe that bushings can be worn out in three months
time.
To preserve the felt or leather polish the pins with Flitz, available from
Pianotek and use Glide-all or other teflon spray lubricant on FELT AND pins.
 This will prevent excessive wear.

Newton,
I can assure you they are starting to wear out on the balance rail, not
completely but getting there. The piano is less than 3 years old, the pins
have no corrosion to speak of and they were liberally coated with McLube. The
McLube product is superior to any of the above that you mentioned in my
opinion unless there is corrosion on the pins then I would use the FLitz
polish. The bushings were done by myself with the highest quality cloth.
Upon completion of the glue drying the fit was excellent. The piano is played
extremely hard for at least 6 hours a day, 365 days a year by two different
professional players one of which does a lot of glissandos. I have been in
alot of different situations in my 17 plus years as a piano tech including a
stint with the L.A. Schools, a fill in for a sick tech at UCLA for quite
awhile and a pre professional Arts academy and by far this is the highest use
situation I have ever seen. The Arts Academy is second (high school). Thank
you for your suggestions.
