Thanks for the forward, and yes, I'm glad to remain a Service Consultant.

As to the C3 voicing problem, I'll go ahead and write to Mr. Borrowman
directly as well as posting to the Pianotech group.  Here's the post:

In his note he doesn't say where the problem is but, knowing C3's the
harmonics he speaks of are probably coming from the bass and possibly tenor
area.  These can be difficult to clear up as it takes patience and a single
needle (#8 or 9 needle, NOT a #6, this is too big!!).  The cause is a very
small, irregular hard spot in/near the crown of the hammer.  The trick is to
"search and destroy" the hard spot.  The catch is that the hard spots are
very small and can take some time to "manipulate".  Listen, search, push 1
needle in to "shape" the hard spot, listen search, etc, etc.  This process
can take as long as an hour to complete, but it is possible to get rid of
about 80% of the harsh harmonics.
