Teacher's piano problem

Hi Avery
Given the fact that the piano is only four years old this one should be
handled through the warranty department at Baldwin.  I would guess that this
one will require replacement strings and nothing else. (You could easily
eliminate the damper question by playing the note with the pedal down.)

Trying to voice out stupid noises from bass strings is futile.  If you did
needle the hammer enough to reduce the noise, that hammer would no longer fit
into the scheme of sound  from the neighboring hammers.  In other words it
would stick out and still you'd be able to identify that stupid noise
anyways.  It won't go away.  Get another string from Baldwin and solve the
problem.
