Mike,

The cedar rapids, Iowa public schools
bought several Walters.... they were
sent right to the schools...factory
direct and were not prepped by the
local dealer....consequently there
were complaints the first semester....
i think it turned out to be a headache
for the dealer...but the school insisted
on having them delivered this way....
so...if you get a walter...have the
dealer go through it first!!!!!
if you want more on this, let me know....
one of the teachers who got one
of them is the wife of a prof here....
she thought it was too bright....and
they own a yamaha grand!!!!!

Another Prof here bought a walter
and has been happy w/ it for over
5 years....it requires very little tuning
....his 2 daughters/and wife all play
it every day....(of course a school
situation is different)....

I can't say about the Boston as we have
not had any feedback on them....
we've had good luck w/ our Yamaha U1s
....and have several p22 on loan....i
don't like the press board cases in the
school situation....but that's about it...
i think you get a better case w/ Walter.

Well...just my 2 cents....or 2 cps.

Rich A.
