Although I'm not sure I still understand why it may be so but
it's commonly understood by welders I know that dry boxes of
the kind we use for storing pins and wire (welders store welding
rod) must not be made of wood but rather metal to be
successful. Something to do with the wood absorbing moisture.
Does anyone else have any knowledge of this?. Welders seem to
like old refrigerators, with a lamp always on inside.
