 did not put the question very well, so I'll try again, are the three
plates offset to the side< usually the treble side, of the keybed?     i.e.
  |_________ O_O_O__|, the plates for the Schulmerich appeared quite heavy,
although I've never taken one off.

 As to the Janssen, yes it is a quite ingenious arrangement as it allowed the
Organist(filling in for the pianist) to play on offset key boards and change
voicing by moving the Janssen back and forth. Rather cumbersome though.
