The tendonitis doesn't bother me when I'm tuning (oddly!) unless I use
extremely hard test blows--which I've been moving away from. I'm in the
process of moving from apartment to new house and carrying all of those
heavy boxes down several flights of stairs is more likely the culprit.
Unforunately, filing hammers (left-handed) also tends to aggrevate the
problem.

A note regarding the mini-belt sander we have: I noticed considerable
play in the wheel with flanges on both ends. I wonder if this play could
be the problem. Anyone have any idea what the lifespan of this particular
tool is? Maybe we've worn it out....
