I recently had a problem with hanging dampers.  There was oxidation on the
wires causing slow seating so I used Protek, first on my thumb and fore finger
then the wires just under the guide rail.  Worked the dampers up and down and
problem solved.  Protek Prolube is specifically forulated for this typte of
application.  Worked beautifully.
