www.prairienet.org is available again. It has been online for about 48
hours now. We hesitated to announce it sooner since we weren't sure the
temporary setup was stable.
Our web server is temporarily sharing hardware with our DNS and news server,
so performance may be unpredictable. There may also be downtime on little
or no notice as additional diagnosis or maintenance requires.
Web access stats are currently not running. We decided to leave them turned
off instead of adding more load to the already overworked temporary server.
Some CGI applications seem not to be running. Please report any problems
you discover.
Once hardware repairs on the dedicated web server are complete, the
transition back should be accomplished with minimum downtime.
