Dr. Coleman; You are probably correct in your thoughts about the plate strut on "D's", However I have always thought that the strut was designed by the same Engineer that designed Baldwins double back fold fallboard system on Acrosonics, and the plate bumps on Wurlitzers, the ones that were placed squarely between the unisons ! Probably the Engineer, or engineers mother, was startled by a tuner before birth and has been subliminally getting even with these design advances. Your thoughts make more sense than mine, so you are probably correct and I am probably wrong but still............... Jim Bryant (FL) p.s. tune-off is getting closer!
