Great idea, Barb, about garage sales.... I have a booth in a local flea market
for sales, staorage, and visibility... after eleven years in this area as the
only tuner, I get lots of people stopping by who say " Oh, you still tune
pianos???" Like maybe they think I went into brain surgery??
Anyway, I picked up a travel case for a computer, the kind of road case
musicians use for transporting delicate stuff, fibreglass and aluminum, all foam
padded on the inside. When customized, it will be my __last__ case. These
things would ordinarily cost $3-400. Cost me $25 !!!
As Martha Stewart would say... that's a good thing!
I also have a few old small suitcases, black, and very solid, from the Goodwill
or Sally Ann, I cant remember, bought for about $5 ea. These are for
'supplies'; one for heavy stuff like wire, and pins, another has all the glues
in it, so in winter, I can leave most my stuff in the car, and only bring the
freezables inside!! This is an important consideration, since today, for
instance, the 13th of April, there are two bloody inchs of fresh snow...
yecccch.
Enough already, out, out damned flake !!
Bye, y'all
Jim
