Dave, Assuming tuning pins are OK, bet you anything the beckets are not all the way through the tuning pin holes. I've been there, had that happen to me when I first came here. It took a while to figure out the problem, but when I did, and corrected it, no more problem. It got to the point where a few notes wouldn't even hold through a recital! Very frustrating until I figured it out. These strings had been replaced by someone else, also. Avery P.S. If I'm right, the next time I'm in New Orleans, you owe me.
