Samick hammer knuckles HARD!!

Hi Roger,
 It sounds like you are doing all the right things on those knuckles.  One
thing you may want to try though.  I have had success in removing those pesky
tufts of yarn after bolstering by very carefully using a small flame such as a
lighter might produce.  It works well on acrylic yarn, which is what I use.
Hope that helps.  You might have to take a suede brush to the sides afterwards
to get rid of any fragments of burnt yarn.
