The Revenaugh Lower Lid in New York Times

Hi List,
Reminds me , in a way, of a large Chickering grand at the Hammond Castle
Museum in Gloucester, MA.  Seems Mr. Hammond designed a swell mechanism for
both above and below the soundboard.  The piano was equipped with two
additional pedals to operate the swells at the perrformer's discretion.
Unfortunately the system has been removed from the piano.  The blueprints are
on display at the museum.
