Measuring grands

Seasons Greetings, all!!

If you really want to make your grand longer, push it with the bass corner
into a room corner and measure perpendicular to the wall to the end of the
lid overhang.  (enough prepositional phrases tacked together?)

With the obtuse angle of that bass corner on many pianos, you could gain
another inch or two without trying. 

Speaking of gaining another inch or two, I'm almost counting on it whilst I
visit my family for Christmas.
