In the event that there's a (clandestine) tape around, you might want to
compare the diatonic intonation between the violin and the viola.

I always find myself quite curious about how real accompanists feel about a
given piano.  More often than not, they're more demanding than most
soloists.  Folks in Mark's category especially so.  If he was pleased, you
did well, indeed.  Brava!
