I would use a small artists brush to brush the Proteck onto the strings where
they are on felts, it will evaporate and leave to stain, brush very small
amounts on the bearing points and agraffes. Not so much that it will travel
along the string into unwanted areas but just enough to get the proper action.
You may wish to be conserative and do three or four applications until you
notice it getting better and stop at that point and wait before applying more.

Again be consertive and you will not need to mask of any area. Do not use the
Proteck that comes with a punp spray, It is a bit too viscous, use the Proteck
for center pins.
