Greetings all, I agree with Dennis Johnson, who wrote ..<snip> it is > possible to overdo the well-intentioned, sometimes even entertaining > posts on sentimental wisdom about life. And Bob, who added; > DITTO!!! and not to mention the "cute chatter". I find it disappointing when there is no new technically minded information here, that is the reason I come to this part of the cyber world. I propose that all posts have some technical reason for being on the list, otherwise, we will watch the list's worth become diluted by totally off topic conversation. I have seen this sad state of entrophy arise on other lists and newsgroups. Anything technical; just as long as it pertains to pianos. Like yesterday, I was finally driven to distraction by the notchy agraffes on an older Steinway, nothing seemed to help, until I decided to put Pro-tek on the understring felt behind the agraffes. Instant smoothness!! The "notch" was caused not by the agraffe, but by the corrosion,(I suppose) on the felt. It took six drops per trichord, but the piano had never tuned so easily before. Regards, Ed Foote
