Digital pianos are being used in studios... however the touch, no matter what
the downweight, isn't the same as a piano ...nor does it reflect soft volume
sensativity as well either. The Yamaha Silent Series is used in my area
with great success... the touch is like a piano becase it IS the
piano...check this out at your local dealer. The piano is fully digital
(MIDI) and fully acoustic...the shank is stopped just before striking the
string...and it sends the digital signal through fibar optic sensors... high
tech stuff. :) Great for satisfying all. When the piano is slightly out of
tune just put it in the digital mode and ENJOY.
