The exodus

Hi Warren:

Thanks for your recent comments regarding the exodus to Caut. The numbers
you cite indicate that there has not been a great exodus. But have you
noticed recently how much more manageable the pianotech list is now?
Even the attitude is better.

I have subscribed to the CAUT list in digest form. I don't know how I
will like it. I haven't received my first batch of stuff yet. I do agree
that their concerns are perhaps a little different from the general run,
but not necessarily on a higher plane. I retired from ASU in '89 and I
don't have to face the same kind of problems anymore. That doesn't mean
that I don't have to deal with voicing, regulation, humidity changes etc.
Scheduling is much simpler now. I seldom see broken strings or pianos
that go out of tune in 1 week. I enjoy this kind of freedom.

PS It sure is good to only have 40 or 50 posts a day isn't it?
