Damper guide rails

  Thanks for all your replies to my question re: "correct" size holes in
damper guide rails. the answers ranged from 3/16" thru 7/32" and included two
wire sizes notably #7 and #8.
 I have deduced that what matters is the firm support of the wire, without
being "draggy", and not the size hole in this instance.
  What did I wind up using?......3/16th (aprox. equivalent to #7 wire size)
and thin woven felt for the lining.
