Hello all. I just came back from working on a Kimball upright that is at least 100 years old. These neighbors of mine are readying it for a garage sale and complained of keys sticking that was getting worse. This piano was suffering in their garage while the Kawai grand was . . . never mind that! Anyway, I open it up and was not surprised to find mouse droppings. What I was surprised to find was an unbelievably large stash of fresh DOG FOOD under the keys of the entire high treble section! The little buggers where carting fresh dog food from the readily available bowl and hauling up this poor piano! Well at least I picked up a job from another neighbor who saw me from across the street. There is an advantage to tuning pianos outdoors. Then some idiot started a lawn mower! . . . . Never mind that! Anyway, I am glad I finally had a little anecdote to share with Ya'll. Glenn. (not from down under)
