pin block plugs

    With all due respect,  I bet you would like to just fit the right size pin
and restring it? 
   Many old uprights have better pinblocks than many old grands.  Most of the
untunable uprights I remember had good blocks, just not worth the restringing
because of a lot of other stuff.  
     Why plug?  is the block all split?
