Thanks Jim. That's basically what I thought. I think I will obtain some
acetic acid, build a dam around the bridge, pour the acid on and let it sit
awhile to soften the glue first. The trick may be getting it back on
again....putting in new dowels etc. Do you suppose I should place some
wedges between the ribs and back posts before using the mallet?
