<< List,
I have for some time now followed numerous discussions into the endless
applications of CA glue. I must confess that I cannot sustain my ignorance
on this subject any longer and must ask; what is CA glue?

I have rang various adhesive specialists and the best information I can
come up from an 'expert' in the field is:

CA is a range of air drying 'super glues' of the Cyano Accurlates (my guess
at the spelling) family which are marketed in the US. These products are
 not readily available in Australia.

Can somebody confirm if this is correct (obviously not the Australian
 availability bit).

Appreciate any help on this issue.

John:

CA glue is a super glue that comes in three different viscosities. For best
results, an excellorator is sprayed on the glue, to let it set up faster.

Edward Dryburgh, a piano technician, ownes a company called Dryburgh Adhesive,
and he is the US distributor for Hot Stuff Cyanoacrylate Adheasive., or simple
Hot Stuff. They sell a package that contains the three different viscosities,
the accelerator, called "kicker", and a solvent, in case you glue your finger
together. Their toll free number is 800-GLUEALL.

This stuff works great, and has solved a lot of repair problems for me.
