Um they may have come from Japan, or where ever Yamaha builds pianos. But
they may have been sent to the Tropics. The Tropics is an area that is
below Florida in the USA.  Below the Tropic of Cancer.   It is near the
Equator. The weather and climate is different there than ANY weather in
the US.  And problems there in regards to humidity demand wood that is
"seasoned" differently.  Look what happened to Albert Schweitzer's (sp ?)
in Africa.  They had to put it into an aluminum case, or so the legand
goes.  
	Supposidly there are codes in the serial numbers that tell where the 
piano was made or intended for what area of the globe.  Don't ask me, ask
Yamaha..
