"Grey Market" Yamaha Pianos

For the record - If a Yamaha has two pedals, it IS a grey market piano, that is: a piano destined for some destination other than the U.S. Period. Since the late 1980's, however, three pedals were standard issue on pianos destined for all markets, so it is necessary to call us at Yamaha in order to determine for certain whether a given piano was made for export. We're happy to provide whatever info we can, including why the issue of "made for the US climate" is important (and it is).
