Dearest List, I will be tuning for a concert today in which 5 grands will be played simultaneously. My stretch #'s give me varied settings for A 4. I noticed as much as 8+ cents variance. I can't remember for sure how to tune all five to exactly A-440. I believe that each of the five tunings should be offset by the amount that the A is off of 440. Is that right? In other words, if the stretch tuning gives me A4 to be +.04 cents sharp, I should then offset the Accutuner by -.04 cents, landing A-4 @440. Doing this to all five will put them as close to one another as possible. Thanks! Lance Lafargue, RPT New Orleans Chapter Covington, LA. lafargue@iamerica.net
