It strikes me as logical that someone who would worry that a negative
ion generator might harm a piano would also think it beneficial to
humans. The easy answer, in either case, is that it probably can't hurt
but I'm not speaking from a scientific basis. And I doubt that the
makers of air purifiers are either.

Ah, the placebo effect strikes again.
