Many thanks to all of you who made suggestions about the twangy G5 on the Yamaha Grand. So what solved it, I hear you cry.... The Hammer was mis-aligned. It was just far enough to the right that the left string was being struck by the shoulder of the hammer. F# 5 was almost the same way, and had the same twangy sound. I realigned the hammer so it struck the strings evenly, and the twang went away for both keys. Only took me 3 visits to finally get it. No wonder I'm not getting rich! Ed Ed Carwithen Oregon
