Greetings,
Sometimes the backward threaded tuning pin remover will take them out. You
have to use them first, not after the tops have been chewed up with vise
grips.  
   You may have to carefully drill a maximum size hole for a big ez out, and
you may have to  accept either reaming the damage away and going to a much
bigger pin, or plugging and redrilling the hole.
