Susan >> For once, I totally agree with Susan. I service many pianos in Southern Louisiana. There are places and pianos where an unregulated dehumidifier would be OK. It should however be properly installed. There are still some of my clients in Wisconsin who have them too. They have it marked on a calendar to unplug it at the beginning of October and to plug it in again in May. Yes, it is true that some of them forget and defeat the purpose of the device by doing so. I have also found more than a few systems that were otherwise properly installed but the humidifier plugged into the dehumidifier outlet and vice-versa. What can you do but just take these things stride? I have charged to reinstall many systems that were poorly installed. Don't get bent out of shape by someone else's blundering, make some money doing things the right way! Sincerely, Bill Bremmer RPT Madison, Wisconsin
