Hi Ron, The Teflon bushing needs Very little slack to become noisy, switch one or two wippens around to help isolate problem. I have found some very strange noises coming from S & S jacks over the years, just flick the heel of the jack rapidly a few times on the worst note , and listen, then compare with a quiet note. Similar procedure for the wip flange, raise the hammer 2 to 3 inches and let drop on to the wippen, listen for the difference.
