Soundboard scratches

Lance,

Just prepare the surface as much as you normally would, and color your
sealer coat with a little yellow/orange dye stain (you'll have to experiment
a little with the color and mixture). If you're using traditional
materials - orange shellac and varnish - you'll already have the color in
the shellac. This hides those dark scratches, poorly matched sections and
other sins a surprising amount.
