Hi Richard,

YES, in a dial gauge from the  supply houses. Remember they are reading net
bearing and will not detect bridge roll. I use a dial gauge just for rough
fast checks, and it is a handy fast INDICATOR for vertical pianos.
If you want a true picture you need to use a compound bearing gauge,
however a vertical has to be on a tilter to use it.
