For the one client in a career who is used to an out of tune piano and wants that sound back, Ask him/her what they think about pianos they hear on TV, radio and CD's . Tell them this is how you have tuned their piano, which is just as you do for clients who are professional musicians. Then if they still want to buck the trend, they should realize that for "specialized" tunings they might expect to pay a little extra. You might bend their way a little and explain that at least they should have their instrument to pitch, just as Liszt did. ric >. Unfortuneatley, it's no longer > > the piano she loved.
