Chinese made Nordiska pianos were on display at the January NAMM Show by
Geneva International, the same firm who imports the Petrof. Their brochure
shows a 5'5" grand, a 48" upright and two 46" uprights. I can barely
remember them after looking at so many those three days but I did scribble
the words "pretty good" on the brochure.
The uprights have one unusual feature. The hammer rail is bolted to the
action brackets and does not move when using the soft pedal. The hammers
rest on a smaller rail which moves forward on soft pedal. Some older upright
were made that way.
