Yea, I seem to remember being told that the IIIM has an open faced pin block and is built more by hand and in the same factory as the II and the concert grand, whereas the III is built on a different line with the smaller pianos and is more of a mass produced object. I have never seen a IIIM to confirm any of this, but I would sure like to.
