Key rebushing

Bill Spurlock routinely routers a slot on pianos that don't have 
them.  I haven't done that myself.  I slice along the bottom of 
the key with a single edge razor blade to remove the excess 
bushing.  That excess bushing cloth will definitely affect 
aftertouch etc.
