Bridle tapes revisited

Hi,

In light of the recent discussion of bridle tape function, I thought I'd
describe a point about a working action model that was lent to me
yesterday, which is based on the 1840's Pleyel upright in the Boston
MFA.

Both this action and Robert Wornum's original lack hammer springs;
however, the Pleyel has felt squares glued to the jacks which _kick_ the
bridle tapes upon escapement. In proper regulation this may have been
all that was necessary to ensure repetition in these light actions, in
whipping the hammer into check to spring the back check wire.

Now, they've got 169 to go...
