I agree with you. I have seen museums with that wish before end up pouring money down a bottomless hole. These old relics will not please current pianists. If it's authenticity they want in the the sound and touch they must get with the pianoforte people. This is like asking Mario Andretti to compete in a current race with a restored 1930 Bugatti.
