FAC database

Bill,

My experience with FAC is that there are some pianos on which it simply
doesn't work. Most of them are small spinets, console or small grands. I
have tried fooling around with the FAC numbers, tried the dual page
calculation, tried the single F4 calculation, I always ended up with wild
beats in the temperament octave. I have raised the issue on this list a
couple of time and never got a satisfactory answer. This is one of the
reasons I have switched from SAT to RCT.

With "chalenge scaled" pianos, you would rather need a whole 88 note tuning
data than simple FAC numbers.

BTW, I have a SAT II for sale.

Regards,

Michel
