Bill, My experience with FAC is that there are some pianos on which it simply doesn't work. Most of them are small spinets, console or small grands. I have tried fooling around with the FAC numbers, tried the dual page calculation, tried the single F4 calculation, I always ended up with wild beats in the temperament octave. I have raised the issue on this list a couple of time and never got a satisfactory answer. This is one of the reasons I have switched from SAT to RCT. With "chalenge scaled" pianos, you would rather need a whole 88 note tuning data than simple FAC numbers. BTW, I have a SAT II for sale.
