Hello all,
Is any PT guy out there interested in restoring the piano action and strings
of a '10's reproducing Ampico Chickering? The reproducing portion was
supposedly restored a few years ago. The piano, however, was worked on by
the owner of the antique shop where it is located, in New Orleans. He
removed the hammers and replaced them by gluing them in and holding them in
position with screwdrivers through the strings! No telling where the strike
point is supposed to be. I do not have time to figure this all out, besides,
I'm not an RPT.
A buyer had agreed to buy it and pay for the piano action repairs,
including re-stringing.
    Contact me if interested.
