Unusual use of piano wire:
Piano wire eats moon dust.

On a recent documentary on four wheeled vehicles,
the moon rover used by apollo landings was covered.
They could not use pneumatic tires; they would explode.
They decided on piano wire woven into a fabric,
molding the mesh into wheels.
